Holsby is a truly set apart place: It quickly became the first place that ever felt like home for me, and was the first place I found a family. My relationship with the Lord began during my year in little Holsbybrunn, where the lectures and, even more importantly, my relationships with the students alongside me and the staff guiding me consistently pointed to how in need we all are of our Savior. For the first time, I was exposed to people's imperfect lives truly demonstrating the perfect love of Jesus.

Before coming, I didn’t appreciate the Bible at all. The Bible for me was for one of two types of people - really good super Christians or really old people. I thought this book is not for me. I don’t need to read that. But the more time I actually sat down and opened it up and actually began to read and study it, I came to realize that these stories, this truth, is super relevant to my life. I learned about how incredibly true and accurate this book is. Another thing is that I also have really experienced God’s forgiveness.
