Discovery Outdoor Leadership

Discovery is an intensive program of Christian discipleship and outdoor leadership training. It is an optional elective that runs concurrently with the full-year Bible school course. Excursions may include hiking trips, canoeing, rock climbing, ocean kayaking, backcountry telemark skiing in northern Sweden as well as ropes course facilitation training at our own facilities.

About Discovery

Discovery is based at Holsby. Approximately about six weeks of your time are spent on various outdoor activities. Discovery participants take part in ongoing outdoor leadership training and expeditions, in addition to completing the requirements of the Bible school program. Some lectures are included during the longer periods away from the Holsby campus.

Although Discovery is not an accredited outdoor skills training program and cannot provide certification, you will be trained in a number of technical and interpersonal skills involved in outdoor leadership.
